WIN A FREE SOYTOY (Eggplant Contest)

During the summer of 2002, I grew a most magnificent garden. This eggplant was an unexpected treat:

No, Monsanto did not genetically combine Nixon's nose with a mutated eggplant gene. This one grew on its own.

My eggplant goes begging for a name and story. Using your most creative wit and humor, in an essay containing 50 words or less, give justice to Mother Nature's unusual creation by defining the essence of her whimsical hybrid.

I will award a FREE SOYTOY, a $159 retail value, to the entry that best makes me laugh or cry. Be creative!

SOYTOY CONTEST RULES

All entries must be 50 words or less. You may submit more than one entry.

None of my relatives or business associates are eligible to win a SoyToy.

There is one judge, me. The final decision is purely arbitrary, based upon whatever strikes my fancy at the moment I read all entries. Some entries may use a similar theme. In that case, the best written entry will be judged the winner. At my discretion, I may award runner-up prizes.

All entries must be postmarked by October 31, 2002. Please include a daytime phone number and mailing address with your entry.

Winner will be announced on or about November 15, 2002.
